For the second year running Stage Electrics worked with Jack Morton Worldwide, providing technical event services to create a unique venue for Zain, a leading Middle East & African mobile operator, to host and entertain clients visiting this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The corporate event saw the transformation of an entire restaurant and its outdoor space into a creative, brand-focussed, functional space for a week.
Both the restaurant and a separate gala dinner venue were heavily design and brand focussed for this special corporate event.
Stage Electrics' experienced scenic and technical teams worked closely with Jack Morton Worldwide to transform specific areas into individual functional spaces for entertaining and private meetings, complete with presentation equipment.
The restaurant's outdoor courtyard space housed a marquee which provided the main entertaining space for clients. The interior of the marquee was designed to reflect the Zain brand, whilst providing a relaxed entertaining and meeting area. Graphics covered all the walls and panels of the interior of the marquee, with multiple plasma screens and interactive displays showing information and video content. The marquee even incorporated an existing tree which was adorned with digital picture frames featuring images of previous Zain events. Theatrical lighting was used to enhance the hospitality zone and soft seating areas, which gave the marquee a unique contemporary feel that projected the Zain brand perfectly.
At the gala dinner venue Stage Electrics transformed a large temporary structure into an African themed event space, complete with hanging banners, staging, graphic backdrops and relaxed lounge areas both inside and outside. Stage Electrics provided complete technical equipment and crew for the event including stage lighting, rigging, a line array sound system and band PA, scenic backdrops, banners and furniture.
Our client was delighted with the results and we look forward to working with them again for Zain in 2010.
