Television production company Endemol films the popular National Lottery game show 1 v 100 on location at Maidstone studios.
Stage Electrics has been involved with the show since the pilot, subsequently supplying technical equipment for both series 1 and 2. Renowned Lighting Designer Darryl Noad created full specifications, relying on Stage Electrics to implement the control systems.
Colorweb, a modular, low res LED flexible screen, is used to produce a large backdrop which wraps around the entire studio so that it's visible from every camera angle. Stage Electrics is the UK's largest stockist of Colorweb and for 1 v 100 the 4 metre high LED screen proved a cost effective way of dressing the studio with spectacular results.
The cavernous studio demanded significant levels of lighting and in addition to the 101 Mac 600s, 101 Source 4s and 101 I Tiles, numerous Mac 2000s, 600s, VL 2000 Wash, atomic strobes, LED Pexelines, Chromafloods, Chromahearts were required, used with 50 Universe Pexelmad server, a GrandMA full size and lite with Luminex node 8s.
The prime time glamorous television show, which is aired on Saturday nights, is a stunning example of how intelligent lighting design and state of the art technology can transform space.
