MITIE, the leading strategic outsourcing and asset management company, held their annual conferences at the Cotswold Water Park Hotel, Gloucestershire. Stage Electrics helped them to achieve a successful and large scale corporate event at one venue over a seven-day period.
MITIE's brief was to consolidate annual conference needs across the Group, into one main event at one venue over two weeks. This reduced the amount of down-time for senior management, combined their conference event management resources, and produced massive savings across the Group in terms of the set up cost for each event. On each event day there was a corporate conference followed by a gala dinner event in the same room. The event culminated with the Senior Management Conference and the MITIE Stars Awards Final- the Group's employee recognition scheme.
Our main task when planning the conference was to design a versatile, yet exciting presentation platform which could be used for the different business needs each day, and which would provide a strong corporate backdrop with maximum flexibility to allow for the changeover between daytime and evening events. Stage Electrics worked with the client to produce and develop the stage set design and responded with a visually stunning design for the event, which incorporated architectural scenic elements, colour changing lighting and state of the art technical equipment to effectively bring the conference to life.
For this corporate event, Stage Electrics provided the creative set design, build and installation, lighting design and installation, all sound and video systems, rigging, power and all other technical equipment on site, supported by a technical support team who remained on site for the duration of the events.
The end result was extremely positive - an efficient, well managed and cost effective event that received excellent feedback from senior management. Tori Ainsworth, head of marketing and communications at MITIE comments:'Having worked successfully with Stage Electrics previously, I knew they had the capacity to manage and deliver, not only a really different event that required more innovation than most corporate events, but also one that demanded a great deal of commitment from them over a long period. With through briefing and on going consultation throughout the event process, they did not disappoint. It was a challenging event to stage, and a first for us in terms of duration and size of conferences. Stage Electrics partnered us throughout - working as an integral part of our in house team. I would thoroughly recommend their event management, design and technical capabilities.'
