Stage Electrics was delighted to have the opportunity to produce the Security Industry and Financial Markets Association's (SIFMA) 2008 e-trading conference held at Old Billingsgate Market in London.
SIFMA's brief stated that they wanted to get the audience involved from the very start and the conference was to be as interactive as possible. Stage Electrics' Event Management won the client over by demonstrating better understanding of SIFMA's objectives than competitors and translated this into a contract-winning proposal.
Preparation for the event started months in advance by designing room layouts. There was a technology-led conference in one half of the room and an exhibition in the other. Data design for the screen was crucial and an Encore multi layer seamless switcher was used so that multiple devices could be displayed on screen at one time. Each session was to have a moderator controlling questions from the audience via a wireless network and from questions sent into their web site prior to the conference.
The conference was designed to share information and for networking. Therefore, the second phase of the event was the SIFMA Supper Club held in the vaults of Old Billingsgate. The show and all conference data were designed by Space along with the transformation of the vaults into a sophisticated and exclusive club for the party. Finishing touches and attention to detail were part of the package and included live music and massively popular Nintendo Wii breakout areas.
