Covent Garden's Royal Opera House approached Stage Electrics to supply technical support and crew for a community event held at Tilbury Dock's passenger terminal. Having considerable experience of managing events at the listed building helped the Royal Opera house decide upon Stage Electrics for the venture.
The production, Sun & Heir, was a superb example of an event at the heart of the community despite the challenges posed by an unusual venue. The set, rigging, sound and lighting equipment, temporarily installed, created stunning effects including a beautiful night sky! Planetary spheres suspended from the ceiling were also installed in another part of the building.
Stage Electrics' technical personnel were on hand throughout the performances which the photographs show immersed the audience in the play and mesmerised them visually.
