Oliver! The Musical

Oliver The MusicalThe triumphant new staging of Lionel Bart's masterpiece Oliver! The Musical has been crowned as the fastest-selling show in West End history since it opened in December 2008.

The show has attracted huge interest since last year's broadcast of the BBC One talent show, I'd Do Anything!, in which a panel of judges including Andrew Lloyd Webber picked three boys to share the lead role of Oliver and a public vote chose Jodie Prenger to play Nancy.
Laurence Olivier Award winning Paule Constable is responsible for the lighting design and Stage Electrics is supplying all production lighting and media server equipment for the brand new production to help bring to life one of the most beloved British musicals.

Oliver The MusicalStage Electrics is providing a significant amount of EvenLED for the production. This includes 140 1m² RGB LED panels to easily create flicker free static and dynamic backdrops. Each LED panel is individually DMX controlled by an ETC EOS Desk with media servers.

Stage Electrics is also supplying a comprehensive list of stage lighting equipment for the show which includes:

  • Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300's with custom gobos
  • A large quantity of ETC Source 4 Revolutions complete with shutter and iris modules
  • Martin and Varilite moving heads including MAC 2000 series fixtures and VL3000Q series
  • Over 250 scrollers all loaded with custom scrolls manufactured by Stage Electrics' in house colour cutting department

Stage Electrics also debuted Snow Boy Wet Snow Machines. This is the first time a West End show has used the DMX controlled unit, new to Stage Electrics' hire stock.
