House of Worship
Wroughton Parish Church
Stage Electrics was tasked by Wroughton Parish Church to install both audio and visual systems within the church. Stage Electrics was approached due to recommendations from other houses of worship.
The church required a versatile sound reinforcement system that could be used for traditional church services and was also capable of supporting a live band. The innovative Roland Sound Snake was installed to give versatility to users whilst maintaining superb sound quality.
EAW speakers were installed throughout the church positioned at the front, mid, rear and in the choir area to give an even coverage of sound.
All sound processing, playback equipment, AV playback and sound patch were integrated within a 19" equipment rack.
Various microphones suitable for vocal announcements in the lectern & pulpit were supplied.
The audio system is controlled by an A&H GL2400 mixing desk.
The key challenge with the visual system was that it needed to fit sympathetically within the church. The electric rear projection screen was mounted onto custom made 'swing away' brackets so that the screen could be discreetly moved into position when needed. The result is a versatile visual system that can facilitate the projection of hymn words as its primary function whilst also being available for other visual displays.
Custom facility panels were installed at various locations to allow connection of the RSS stage box, additional audio and AV connections.
"We chose Stage Electrics because of their professional expertise and their willingness to find out exactly what we wanted. They kept in touch throughout the installation and commissioning period to check that the system was operating as we needed. We now have a system that any church would be proud of."
