63rd Annual Tony Awards

Stage Electrics would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees of this year's Tony Awards, Broadway's equivalent of the Oscars attended by the biggest names in theatre.
Congratulations go to the Billy Elliot production team who stole the evening by walking away with 1O awards including Best Lighting Design of a Musical by Rick Fisher, Best Sound Design of a Musical by Paul Arditti, Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Set Design of a Musical and Best Choreography.
There was further success on the night for 'God Of Carnage 'which won awards for The Best play, The Best Direction of a Play and The Best performance by a Lead Actress in a Play. Stage Electrics has recently supplied the Bath Theatre Royal Tour for God of carnage which completed its UK tour in March.
Equus also enjoyed a successful evening by winning the Best Sound Design for a Play by Gregory Clarke. Stage Electrics was proud to support the lighting requirements for the UK tour of Equus in 2008 which was produced by The Bath Theatre Royal. The Old Vic Theatre also walked away with the Best Revival of a Play with 'The Norman Conquests'.
Other nominees for the evening included Waiting For Godot, currently playing on Broadway and also enjoying its London run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Stage Electrics is proud to be a part of this fantastic production which is proving to be a real success in the West End. West Side Story was also nominated for 2 awards. This amazing production is currently touring the UK with lighting and AV supplied by Stage Electrics.
