Technical TrainingCourse objectives:

  • To provide delegates with up to date information on the principles and practices of many of the necessary regulations and legislation that applies to the entertainment industry
  • To understand the importance and basic principles of risk assessment
  • To have an awareness and demonstrate knowledge of accident reporting, dangerous occurrences and accident prevention and control

The course will cover many of the necessary regulations and legislation and provide information on the

  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
  • The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
  • Working at Height Regulations 2005
  • Electrical hazards and safety
  • Fire safety
  • Risk Assessment process
  • Safe systems of work
  • Dangers and Hazards in the entertainment industry
  • Health and Safety inspections
  • Group work and activities
