Course objectives:
- To give delegates knowledge of the necessary legislation that governs safe rigging, and the equipment used.
- To understand and demonstrate correct equipment selection and inspection
- To understand safe rigging procedures and safe systems of work
- To understand and demonstrate competent operation of counterweight flying systems and hemp sets, rigging and flying lighting equipment cloths and scenery, and managing a balanced load.
- To provide information on rope craft.

The Course is taught in three modules:
- Module One
Health and safety legislation governing rigging and flying and record keeping - Module Two
Equipment selection and inspection - Module Three
Theatrical flying systems and their safe operation
