Transforming Your Vision into Reality, Since 1979

Whether you’re staging a theatre production, delivering a live event, broadcasting to audiences, or designing an immersive architectural space, you need a technical partner who understands the complexity of your project.

At Stage Electrics, we help you turn creative concepts into reality. For over 45 years, we’ve worked with venues, production teams, and technical directors to provide cutting-edge lighting, sound, video, rigging, and staging solutions that set the standard for quality and innovation.

From theatres and live productions to broadcast studios, education spaces, and architectural installations, we don’t just supply equipment—we design tailored solutions, deliver expert installation, and provide ongoing support to ensure your production runs smoothly, now and in the future.

Company History

Stage Electrics was founded in 1979 by David Whitehead and Maurice Marshal, MBE, driven by a passion for lighting and a commitment to prioritising customer service. Today, our dedication remains as strong as ever, expanding beyond lighting to include audio, video, staging, and rigging. We believe that David and Maurice would still recognise our unwavering commitment to delivering industry-leading customer outcomes.

In 2019, we refined our focus by selling SLX, our hire and events division.

Today, our UK-based team of industry specialists works with a broad range of clients, both nationally and internationally. Our customers range from small amateur groups to large multinational corporations and industry professionals across theatre, live events, education, and broadcast, as well as themed attractions, conference centres, schools, and more. Over the past 40 years, the technology may have changed, but our commitment to delivering industry-leading standards hasn’t.

Stage Electrics is part of Stage Electrics Group, which includes Willow Communications, Northern Light and Just Rigging & Inspections Scotland Ltd.
