Stage Electrics Announces Finance Leadership Transition

Stage Electrics Group today announces a significant transition within its Senior Executive team. Andy Preece, Group Finance Director, will retire from his executive role effective 31st July 2025, the end of the group’s financial year. However, he will not be stepping away entirely.

In a move that demonstrates his ongoing belief in, and commitment to the business, Andy will assume a new position as a Non-Executive Director of Stage Electrics Group. Reflecting on Andy’s contribution, Dave Coull, Group CEO of Stage Electrics, said:

“Andy’s breadth of experience and expertise have not only benefited the organisation financially and strategically but have also helped shape and develop our company culture over the past four years. As he moves into his new role as Non-Executive Director, I’m confident the group will continue to benefit from his insight, non-executive oversight, and unwavering commitment to our continued
growth and success.”

With this change comes an important internal promotion. Nathan Athay, the company’s current Finance Manager,  will be promoted to the role of Group Finance Director and join the Group Board as a Statutory Director. Nathan has been with Stage Electrics for three years. Commenting on Nathan’s promotion, Coull said:

“Nathan’s journey is a clear reflection of what’s possible at Stage Electrics Group. His promotion reflects both his own dedication and our ongoing commitment to developing talent from within, while continuing to attract great people into the business. I am delighted to see him step up into this role and look forward to working with him even more closely in the years ahead”.

Nathan Athay added:

“I’m honoured to have been given the opportunity to grow and develop at Stage Electrics Group. It’s an organisation that believes in its people, and I’ve felt that every step of the way. In my new role, I’m looking forward to working with the Board, the Senior Executive, and our wider group teams to deliver results for our customers, colleagues, and broader stakeholders.”

Together, these two appointments enhance the group’s senior leadership capacity and organisational capabilities, positioning the group well for its next phase of growth, ensuring it possesses the experience, expertise and energy needed to scale with confidence.

Andy and Nathan will begin their respective new roles on 1st August 2025.
