Overview

The GeNetix GN4IP is a rugged, weather-proof Ethernet-to-DMX node designed for demanding lighting setups. Built to IP65 standards, it’s ideal for outdoor or exposed environments, allowing reliable DMX distribution with flexible network power options and robust build quality.

Key Features

• 4 DMX Ports (RDM capable) – each of the 4 ports can function as either input or output, supporting both DMX and RDM for addressing, status and diagnostics.
• Network Compatibility – supports Art-Net and sACN protocols for modern lighting network integration.
• Remote Configuration – thanks to its built-in web server, GN4IP can be configured over the network, including DMX fallback, merging, scenes, and other settings.
• Power Flexibility – can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or via mains using a PowerCon True1 connector.
• Rugged Design for Touring & Outside Use
• IP65 rated enclosure for protection against water and dust
• Port status LEDs for quick diagnostics
• M12 threaded insert for secure clamp mounting, plus a built-in safety bond rail

Additional Capabilities:

• DMX Fallback & Redundancy – in case of network failure (Art-Net / sACN drop), the GN4IP supports fallback to ensure that lighting doesn’t drop out. Individual ports can be set to output, input or fallback mode.
• Merging Options – configure how multiple data sources are merged per universe: HTP (highest takes precedence), LTP (latest takes over), or priority via lowest/highest IP address. Ideal for interlinked control systems.
• Scene Storage – store up to 10 scenes internally, which can be triggered either from front panel, via the web server, or via ChamSys consoles. Great for backup, pre-sets and emergency systems.
