Grimsby Auditorium, one of Lincolnshire’s leading entertainment venues, has upgraded their Stage Management Desk with the help of Stage Electrics. More and more the 1200 seat theatre is welcoming larger shows and needed a Stage Management Desk that could handle the more complex demands of big tours. 


Shane Jackson, of the Grimsby Auditorium, approached Andy Elsegood of Stage Electrics for help and advice on the specification of a replacement desk. “Shane and I spent time looking at the venues needs and mapping out the features they would require, not only did it need to cope with the demands of big tours but offer the venue all-round flexibility” commented Andy “We discussed various options and ended up with a bespoke unit, tailored to meet their particular needs”.


“The final design consisted of an expandable cue light system, wireless backstage communications, video monitors and integration with the venues existing networkable communication panels” continued Andy “we even were able to offer integration with the building infrastructure that allows the client to initiate their fire evacuation system from the Stage Management Desk itself!”


The venue has welcomed a whole host of international touring shows, including Starlight Express, Blood Brothers and Calendar Girls, Grimsby Auditorium stage management team are now equipped to support them.
