We’re now looking for a talented and driven Design, Documentation & Support Engineer to join our outstanding Projects team. If you have a flair for translating ideas into practical, cost-effective designs, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to support projects from concept to aftercare, we want to hear from you.
What’s the Job?
This is a diverse, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in a wide range of pre- and post-sales activities, supporting projects at every stage—from initial design and costing through to delivery, completion, and aftercare.
You’ll:
- Work closely with colleagues across the Projects team to develop accurate, compliant, and commercially sound designs.
- Assist with pre-sales design requirements gathering, preparing templates, forms, costing sheets, and documentation to support design and pricing.
- Provide design and documentation support across multiple technical disciplines—lighting and lighting control, audio, video, data infrastructure, networking, mechanical and electrical systems, staging, rigging, tracks, and drapes.
- Read and interpret technical documentation including specifications, circuit diagrams, schematics, and schedules.
- Attend site visits for surveys or design meetings where required.

To deliver designs that are cost-effective without compromising on performance, reliability, quality, or compliance. About You We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering excellent work.
The ideal candidate will be:
- An excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Highly computer literate, with experience using MS Office and CRM systems.
- Commercially astute with a sound understanding of project costing and documentation.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Aware of relevant health and safety standards and regulations.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in developing skills across multiple technical disciplines.
- Holder of a full UK driving licence.
